The Information in the document demonstrates how to remove your current exchange email account, after that set up Exchange Online (Office365) email account in Outlook for iOS mobile app
Please note that the below instructions will be active after the email/file’s migration is completed
- Remove the existing Exchange account
For iOS mail native app, follow the steps below
- From Home Screen, tap Settings, tap Passwords & Accounts
- Under Accounts, tap on the current Exchange account.
- Scroll down, tap on Delete Account
For iOS outlook app, follow the steps below:
- From Home Screen, Open Outlook, open the Menu > tap Settings > Tap on existing Exchange account > Tap Delete Account
Set up email in Outlook for iOS
The company requires additional security requirements before you can use Outlook for iOS. This will make sure your mobile is protected with a complex password and Auto-Lock.
- Once you begin the enrollment process, you should complete the process in its entirety since pausing for more than a few minutes usually stops your progress and requires you to start over. If this process should fail, you need to return to the Company Portal app to try again.

- Go to the iOS App Store to download and install the Intune Company Portal app on your device. You'll also need to maintain a Wi-Fi connection and have access to Safari during enrollment.
- Open the App Store and search for Intune Company Portal
- Download the Intune Company Portal app.
- Open the Company Portal app, enter your work email address and password, and then tap Sign in.
- For first time setup, you will be prompted to enroll your device in Intune
- When prompted to receive Company Portal notifications, tap Allow. Company Portal uses notifications to alert you if, for example, your device settings need to be updated
- On the Setup access screen, select Begin
- Read through the list of device information your organization can and can't see. Then tap Continue
- Read through the instructions on the What's next? screen. When you're ready to download and install the management profile, tap Continue
- Safari opens the Company Portal website on your device. When prompted to download the configuration profile, tap Allow. If you're on a device running:
- iOS 12.2 and later: When the download is complete, tap Done. Continue to next step.
- iOS 12.1 and earlier: You'll be automatically redirected to the Settings app. Skip to step 8 in this article
- If you accidentally tap Ignore, refresh the page. You'll be prompted to open the Company Portal app. From the app, you can tap Download again.
- iOS 12.2 and later only: When prompted to open Company Portal, tap Open. The Installing Management Profile screen lists the steps to install the profile
- Go to the Settings app and tap Profile Downloaded.
- If Profile Downloaded doesn't appear as an option, go to General > Profiles. If you still don't see the profile, you may need to download it again
- Tap Install
- Enter your device password. Then tap Install
- The next screen is a standard system warning for device management. To continue with the installation, tap Install. If prompted to trust remote management, tap Trust
- After installation is complete, tap Done. To verify that the profile was installed, go to the Profiles & Device Management settings. You should see the profile listed under Mobile Device Management
- Return to the Company Portal app. Company Portal will begin to sync and set up your device. Company Portal might prompt you to update additional device settings. If it does, tap Continue
- You'll know that setup is complete when all items in the list show a green circle. Tap Done
- Go to the iOS App Store to download and install Microsoft Outlook
- Open Outlook for iOS. The icon looks like this:
Notes: When a device is enrolled, managed apps – including Outlook – can be installed in a couple of different ways:
- You install the app from the Company Portal app
- Your company may automatically install it during the enrollment process
- If it's your first-time using Outlook for iOS, enter your full email address, then tap Add Account
- If not, open the Menu > tap Settings
> Add Account > Add Email Account.
- Enter your email account password and tap Sign In
- Verify your identity by entering the 6-digit code sent to your mobile
- Accept any prompts for permission you may receive.
- Swipe through the features and you're now ready to use Outlook for iOS!
